Struggling To Stick With It

50% of people who start a physical activity programme will stop within 6 months. Every year people start being active, give up and then restart at a later date, or never start again.

There are many reasons why it is hard to stick with an activity programme. Some of the comments we have heard are:

  • “I don’t feel like I am achieving any benefits from being active, so what is the point?”
  • “I have too many other things going on at the moment, activity is not my priority.”
  • “I don’t feel like the people around me are supporting to me and I don’t want to do it alone.”
  • “I’m just not enjoying it anymore.”
