There are mountain bike tracks all around Dunedin. Most of these rides are best suited to mountain bikes with 21 speed gears or more. Some of the sealed and gravel road rides could be accomplished on touring bikes. They are designed to give you an interesting day out with a touring feel. All these routes have been tried and tested by the AOK Social Riders and members of Mountain Biking Otago Inc.
Jubilee Park is a fun, safe and easy circuit (but still challenging) for parents, children and seasoned riders alike.

The Otago Central Rail Trail runs between Middlemarch and Clyde. It follows the old Central Otago Branch railway line for 150km, making it the longest rail trail in New Zealand. The trail is suitable for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The surface can be variable with some loose rock and rutting but is generally flat to gently sloping.
